Lockheed Martin Approves the Use of the CTRL UL101 for Support of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter

Westminster, MD, United States - Mrch 28, 2005 - CTRL Systems announced today that Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training & Support (ORLANDO, Florida) has approved the CTRL UL101 Ultrasonic

Inspection System to be used in the production Quality Control and in the life cycle tool kit of the new F-
35 Joint Strike Fighter jet.

F-35 engineers in Palmdale, CA recommended and received approval for the first application of use for the
UL101 on the F-35. The device will first be incorporated into the quality control process of production and
will also be part of the tool kit that will support the aircraft after delivery to the end user.

Lockheed Martin and its partners have been contracted for providing production and after delivery
maintenance of the new fighter to multiple branches of the military, both in the US and abroad.
The UL101 is the same ultrasound device used by NASA on the International Space Station and Shuttles.
The US Air Force, Army and Navy use this same technology in support of mission readiness for other equipment.

CTRL recently has worked with other branches of the military for the possible inclusion of the UL101 in
both new projects and legacy systems. "We are happy that we can be a part of the next-generation F-35
Joint Strike Fighter," stated Bob Roche, CEO of CTRL Systems, " and we look forward to continuing work
with the F-35 team and other divisions of Lockheed Martin in providing an ultrasound solution to their challenges."

The CTRL UL101 is a handheld non-destructive testing device that uses the properties of ultrasound to provide a quick and accurate method for testing the condition of components such as bearing, gears, gas lines, pumps, non-pressurized & pressurized vessels, and more. The UL101 is also part of CTRL's complete turnkey system, which is in use by others in the aerospace, petrochemical, pulp & paper, railroad,
automotive, manufacturing, power generation and US military air, land and sea operations.
