Bulatsa Gets Ready for AMHS with COMSOFT System

Sofia, Bulgaria - Oct 26, 2011 - Bulgarian air navigation service provider Bulatsa has chosen AIDA-NG as their new AMHS messaging solution.
Bulatsa, the air navigation service provider (ANSP) of Bulgaria, after thorough evaluation of the products available on the market, has selected COMSOFT's market-leading AIDA-NG as their national AMHS switch. Considering their intention to omit CIDIN and directly employ AMHS, Bulatsa has opted for the supplier with the most proven experience in this field, drawing on over 50 implementations worldwide. Practically each operational AMHS connection to date features at least one COMSOFT system. The solution's outstanding interoperability and conformance to all relevant standards are characteristics likewise the system's user-friendly and efficient CADAS user terminals for the handling of flight plans and other ATS-related messages. CADAS supports both the PRESENT and NEW flight plan format according to ICAO Doc 4444, Amendment 1. Furthermore, COMSOFT's AMHS solutions have repeatedly proven to meet the strict EUROCONTROL Safety Regulatory Requirements (ESARR) for software in ATM systems with an unrivalled grade of SWAL 3.
The number of AMHS-ready organisations in Europe is constantly increasing. At COMSOFT's AMHS User Group (CAUG) meeting the member CFMU of EUROCONTROL reported on very promising AMHS tests with other European members, while at the same time a couple of European ANSPs already feature operational AMHS connections. Bulatsa will join this pioneering group and has scheduled interoperability tests for spring 2012.
