The Aerospace & Defense Business Unit of ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS (formerly ENERTEC) has a background of over 50 years in the development and manufacture of high performance, extreme environment data/video recorders for military and aerospace applications. ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS is part of the ZODIAC Aerospace group, specifically in the Aerosafety Systems & Technology segment.

ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS is headquartered in Les Ulis/Courtaboeuf, France (Paris area). ZDS also has sales offices and modern product support facilities (project management, integration, depot and repair) in the USA (ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS Inc. in Atlanta, GA) and in the UK (ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS UK Ltd in Tostock, Suffolk).

Current certifications of ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS include the EN/AS/JISQ 9100:2003 and ISO 9001:2000 International Standards.

With a solid background based on over 50 years of experience in data acquisition and recording in avionics and severe environments, ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS (formerly ENERTEC) provides cost-effective, state-of-the-art solutions for digital data & video acquisition/recording used onboard aircraft and other vehicles. ZDS''s most recent range of cartridge recorders is proposed in two families:

- DS2200 & DS4100: Compact Airborne Data Recorder, featuring a 0 to 320 Mbit/s sustained data rate capability (respectively 100 Mbit/s for the DS2200), and providing unsurpassed data interface flexibility, for data acquisition and processing applications as diverse as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (electro-optical, infra-red or SAR imagery, antisubmarine
warfare), or system test / flight test,

- VS1500 & VS2200: multi-Channel Video, Audio & Aircraft Data Record/Replay System, for cockpit video display recording and replay on a single storage media, for mission debriefing and pilot training purposes.
