L-3 ALST introduced a new diode pumped 10 Hz eyesafe rangefinder for longer range applications as well as a small diode pumped laser rangefinder / designator capable of being packaged for small UAV and man-portable applications. 2008 marks ALST’s 21st year in business with a continuing focus on innovative development and cost effective manufacturing of rugged, reliable eyesafe laser rangefinders and other laser products capable of meeting the most demanding performance and packaging requirements. In 2005 ALST became a wholly owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications. ALST is to remain a merchant supplier of laser rangefinders, laser designators and other laser products to government and industry. In 2006 ALST relocated in the Orlando area to a 40,000 sf facility.
