Lockheed Martin Selects FavoWeb by A.L.D. Group as the FRACAS Software for the F-35 JSF

Tel Aviv, Israel - May 4, 2009 - A.L.D. Group has been awarded a contract to provide software for the Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) for the world’s most advanced multi-role combat aircraft.

The joint effort of three of A.L.D. Group companies: A.L.D., Israel, SoHaR, USA and FavoWeb, Israel resulted in this achievement: FavoWeb software will be the FRACAS software for the world’s most advanced multi-role combat aircraft – the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).

Several months ago, Lockheed Martin embarked on a search for a COTS FRACAS solution for the JSF System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase. The process was not easy, and required the active involvement of both Lockheed Martin Information Systems Division in Orlando, Florida, and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas. Ultimately, Lockheed Martin chose FavoWeb software, the 3d generation of FRACAS software developed by A.L.D. Group, as the software answering the needs of both divisions and as the software to become a part of the JSF logistics information system (ALIS) in support of the Flight Test program.

FavoWeb, a web-based COTS with easy adjustability and an intuitive user interface, proved to be unsurpassable in the scope of capabilities for sustaining and improving reliability of JSF SDD stage: reliability trends, sophisticated statistics, a seamless connection with RAM Commander, a reliability toolkit developed by A.L.D. and used by reliability engineers worldwide. Finally, FavoWeb incorporated strong FRACAS capabilities, with special focus on corrective action mechanism, logistics tree and serial number tracking module.

“Our 20 years of experience in Reliability, FRACAS and software development is well-grounded in the professionalism of the team that worked on winning this contract and made this success possible,” said Zigmund Bluvband, A.L.D. Group president and founder. “FavoWeb is an outstanding product that will make F-35 failure reporting and analysis tasks easy and reliable. The software's sophisticated analytical capabilities will empower the JSF reliability team to leverage the knowledge derived from FavoWeb when making crucial decisions. FavoWeb combines high adjustability with distinctive reliability and FRACAS know-how. Our team will assist F-35’s FRACAS team in creating an outstanding failure/event processing system.”

A.L.D. participated in the bid together with two other members of the A.L.D. Group: SoHaR (www.sohar.com), California-based reliability methodology and software development company and FavoWeb (www.favoweb.com) based in Israel and specializing in FRACAS software development. The contract was awarded to FavoWeb after several presentations both to the Lockheed Martin Information Systems division in Orlando, Florida and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas and tough competition.
