Zimbabwe Again Sets on COMSOFT's Unrivalled Messaging and Information Management Technology

Harare, Zimbabwe - Jan 13, 2010 - CAAZ will take delivery of new AFTN/AMHS and AIM system for installation at Harare International Airport in early 2010.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has awarded a contract to Germany-based COMSOFT for the supply and installation of new AFTN/AMHS and AIM systems for Harare International Airport. After already having operated a COMSOFT AFTN system over the last 13 years, this order is a tremendous endorsement of the German ATC expert's products.

Besides its messaging node AIDA-NG, COMSOFT's market-leading AMHS solution, CAAZ will soon benefit from the web-based aeronautical information terminal application CADAS, providing enhanced flight plan management as well as NOTAM and MET office functionality and intuitive, user-friendly handling of aeronautical information. Upon completion, Zimbabwe's three international and five national airports will be interconnected to the main system in Harare via serial leased lines and secured IP connections.

With an increasing number of air navigation service providers to settle on AMHS, COMSOFT's AIDA-NG represents on a worldwide basis the most mature and proven systems for managing the transition from AFTN to AMHS.
