Liteye Systems named Colorado Company To Watch
Centennial/Colorado, United States - Jun 25, 2009 - Colorado Business Community puts its Eye on Liteye Systems
Head Mounted Display developer and manufacturer, Liteye Systems, recognized in inaugural class of "Colorado Companies to Watch".

Liteye Systems, Inc., a world leading provider of rugged, high-resolution, head mounted displays (HMD), viewfinders, and micro-imaging solutions, has been recognized as one of the 2009 Awardees; Inaugural Class of "Colorado Companies to Watch". This program identifies and celebrates second-stage companies that are transforming our economies and our lives.

"We are seeing an increasing demand for our products and solutions from military and industrial organizations worldwide." said Thomas Scott, President for Liteye Systems. "Participating in this global market place has afforded us the ability to not only weather the current downturn, but also continue to grow. We are very proud to be highlighted as a bright spot in the Colorado economy and recognized for our growth during these challenging economic times."

A Colorado Companies to Watch award winner is a second-stage company, one that is privately held, headquartered in Colorado, growth focused, has six to 99 full-time equivalent employees, and has annual revenues of $750,000 to $50 million. This criteria was developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation and the Colorado Companies to Watch Advisory Board. Through research it has been determined that companies that meet this criteria account for most of the economic growth, community development and economic independence of individuals not only in Colorado but nationally.

In addition to being evaluated on past growth and projected success, applicants are also judged according to their special strengths. These special strengths revolve around a company's innovative products and business practices, special use of technology, work within their community and more.

"Colorado is fortunate to have a diverse economy, which will help reduce the impacts of the global economic crisis. In these challenging times it is vital to appreciate what we have that is working, recognize the strength of growing companies throughout Colorado and the economic vitality they bring to our communities and state. I am pleased to congratulate the 2009 Colorado Companies to Watch, and thank them for contributing to Colorado's recovery." - Governor Bill Ritter, Jr., Colorado.
Liteye Systems, along with the other 2009 Colorado Companies to Watch, will be recognized in the June issue of ColoradoBIZ Magazine, at a gala awards celebration June 25, and each company will be named "This Week's Colorado Company to Watch" during one week of the next year. A media partnership with 9News in the Denver-metro area will highlight awardees throughout the next 12 months.

About "Companies to Watch"
Companies to Watch, a national program founded by the Edward Lowe Foundation, is different from many existing awards programs. The program focuses on an entire state and is not industry-specific. It provides an opportunity to paint a realistic picture of a true statewide economy. Since applicants are evaluated on more than growth, the program widens the playing field to companies not often recognized for the critical differences they make in their industry, community, region and state.
